Rabies Vaccine Reporting in Clark County

Please be advised it is now required by law* that all veterinarians report, in writing, all rabies vaccines administered to a dog or cat within unincorporated Clark County and the city limits of Vancouver to Clark County Animal Protection and Control.

In general, dogs and cats over 6 months of age are required by law to be licensed. Puppies and kitten licenses are free and valid for pets under the age of 6 months.  Depending on where you live, some licenses require annual renewal while others are lifelong licenses.

Requirements may be different based on where you live, the age and spay/neutering status of your individual pets.  Knowledge and adherence of licensing requirements are the full responsibility of pet owners.  The following list is for informational purposes and is not exhaustive.

Please see the following links for additional information, as legal requirements may be subject to change.  Individual cities may have different requirements, so please review for your individual city as needed.
